Liquor Store Clerk (part time)
Salary Range: $15.00/hour – $18.75/hour, DOQ

The City of Fairmont is accepting applications for its part-time Liquor Store Clerk position. This role will be responsible for providing customer service, stocking liquor and related products, performing light housekeeping, carrying out efficient transactions, maintaining proper cash control, and completing other related duties as assigned.

Successful candidates will be energetic, customer-service oriented, and able to deal effectively with all types of people. They must also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift/handle beverage cases with a weight up to 60 pounds. Additionally, candidates must be able to work nights and weekends, including some holidays. (More details can be found in the job description.)

Lifeguard – Aquatics Department
Starting Pay: $13.50/hour and the City provides sick time per MN ESST guidelines

The City of Fairmont’s Aquatics Department is currently hiring Lifeguards for the 2025 season. This position will mainly be responsible for creating a safe, enjoyable atmosphere by monitoring patrons in and around the water; enforcing rules and regulations; educating patrons and class participants about facility safety and water safety/skills; cleaning the site’s buildings, grounds, and pool areas; and performing other related duties as assigned. The season runs from approximately early June through mid/late August and the facility is operational seven (7) days a week during that timeframe. This position is required to work day, evening, and weekend hours. This may vary depending on the weather, business/staffing needs, and student status.

Minimum qualifications:
– Must be at least 15 years of age
– Must have a high school diploma or be in the process of obtaining one
– Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (CPR/AED) certification
– Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds
