City of Fairmont Downtown Infrastructure Improvement Project
The City of Fairmont is currently studying options for potential infrastructure improvements within the 8 block downtown area bound by Blue Earth Ave, Park St, 4th St, and Main St. Potential future infrastructure projects may include updating the sidewalks, crosswalks, lighting, vegetation, street furnishings, and possibly wayfinding and public art. Additional future projects may consider traffic flow changes, mixed-use housing infill, and flexible shared open space.
The goal of this initial study: Revitalize Downtown Fairmont through a holistic approach that enhance livability, economic vitality, accessibility, and community pride.
