The City of Fairmont is accepting electronic bids for the 2026 Overlay Projects – 2026-B Improvement Contract (City Projects #8726002–87260012).

The project includes bituminous milling, paving, patching, curb and gutter work, and related items, in accordance with plans and specifications. All work must be completed by October 30, 2026.
Bids must be submitted electronically through QuestCDN. Only plan holders will be accepted. Each bid must include a proposal bond of not less than 5% of the total bid amount.
All bidders must meet responsible contractor requirements under Minnesota Statutes § 16C.285.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
Request for Qualifications – Airport Engineering & Planning Services
The City of Fairmont is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified airport consultants for engineering and planning services at the Fairmont Municipal Airport for anticipated projects from 2026–2030, subject to Federal and State funding.
Project Types Include: Land acquisition, obstruction removal, apron rehabilitation, clear zone acquisition planning, fuel system replacement, hangar taxi lane construction, and pavement maintenance.
SOQ Requirements: Submittals (maximum 35 pages) must include firm information, airport experience, project team qualifications (including FAA experience), recent project references, and evidence of an Affirmative Action Program.
Selection Process: A qualifications-based selection process will be used in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E. Fee information must not be submitted. Fees will be negotiated after selection.
