Master Electrician
Salary Range: $43.14/hour – $54.58/hour, DOQ

The City of Fairmont is looking for a Master Electrician. Under the general supervision of the Electric Distribution Superintendent, the Master Electrician will mainly be responsible for performing a variety of skilled work in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment, controls, and communications. The typical work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Other hours and call duty may be required as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include the possession of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a Master Electrician License. Preferred qualifications include a two-year degree in an electrical or electronics-related field, basic knowledge of SCADA systems (including hardware, software, communications, database, displays, and remote terminals), and a working knowledge of components (including relays, motor starters, metering, control circuits, and solid-state circuitry).
